Identify what is inside the container
Request code, ionic family, commercial form, TDS, SDS, active definition and density information. Total solids and active polymer are not automatically interchangeable.
Confirm net mass and any volume declaration separately. Density converts neat-product volume to commercial mass; active fraction then relates that mass to the declared polymer basis. Neither figure alone proves treatment equivalence.
Check activation before planning a conversion
Ask for the product-specific dilution and activation sequence, water requirements, maturation and transfer conditions. An emulsion is not necessarily ready for direct injection into the treatment stream.
Review pumps, metering turndown, water pressure, controls and cleaning with the equipment team. Keep any new skid or modification in the offer rather than treating it as an undisclosed obligation after the trial material arrives.
Compare the right consumption
Distinguish neat emulsion use from diluted stock delivery. Applying neat density or concentration to the final solution flow can create a large calculation error.
The factory quotation comparison keeps active and commercial dose separate. Test candidates at their own accepted operating band rather than assuming equal mass or equal pump speed gives equal performance.
Evaluate the package at the receiving plant
Confirm container construction, connections, unloading, partial-container handling and storage instructions for the exact grade. Do not infer a universal temperature limit, shelf period or shipping classification.
Have the responsible safety and logistics teams review the supplied documents. Include empty-package handling, residues and any measurable transfer loss in the practical comparison.
An emulsion offer reconciliation
Keep net fill, declared density, active basis, commercial dose, activation scope and delivery term in separate fields. For any missing field, obtain a written clarification instead of filling it from another supplier's product.
Send the intended ionic family, plant duty, demand and destination through the factory emulsion request. Agree a controlled trial and code-specific receiving checks before converting a sample offer into repeat drum or IBC supply.
Emulsion offer evidence
| Checkpoint | Evidence to retain | Decision boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Quantity | Keep net commercial mass, any volume declaration, documented density and active definition in distinct fields. | Do not apply neat-product density or active fraction to final diluted flow without the correct concentration calculation. |
| Preparation | Retain the proposed activation arrangement, operating water conditions, usable stock output and equipment dependencies. | A liquid package does not prove direct-dose suitability or compatibility with an existing powder preparation system. |
| Container | Obtain package, connections, storage instructions and handling responsibilities for the exact supplied grade. | A packaging illustration is not a confirmed drum or IBC offer, usable period or route-specific transport classification. |
